Pleasant Awards Night
Aug 23 – The ECC Awards Night was held on Thursday, August 21st at the pool. Together we celebrated the successes of our swimmers and of their performances over the summer of 2014. Well done to all and thank you for your efforts for another great summer!

Swim-O-Thon was a big sucess!
Aug 22 – Our First Annual Jana Schmitz Memorial Swim-a-Thon was a success! With “The Beat” onsite to entertain the parents and the swimmers, those who participated raised over $3,600 for the Montreal Children’s Hospital! I’d say that’s a great and successful event. Thank you to all the swimmers and for the donations, you know its for a good cause!

ECC wins first Big Meet in its History!
Aug 10 – Oh what a beautiful day we had on Saturday, August 9th for Big Meet! Not only was the weather hot, out swimmers were as well! Due to their outstanding efforts, we finished big meet with a 2 point edge over Elm Park to win our first EVER Big Meet! With the season points, Elm Park edged us by 4 points to win the A Division title. Even though we finished second, ECC did outstandingly well and we are proud of all our swimmers for their hard work and performances this summer. Bravo to all swimmers and thank you! Combined Time Trials results for Big Meet
Aug 3 – The results for the Time Trials are in and have been compiled for all three divisions in preparation for Big Meet. You can find the detailed information HERE. If you have any questions about your child’s participation in the Big Meet, please speak to his or her coach.
Adult Party 2014: Game On!
Aug 3 – The adult party went off without a problem last night. Great people, great colours, great food and great fun, what else can you ask for? The Social Committee had organized and ran a fun night with some hilariously fun ‘Minute to Win It’ events and perfect weather. Thank to all that showed up, it was a blast to get to chat with you all uninterrupted by kids. For some pictures, click HERE.
Halloween in July: don’t put your costumes away yet
Aug 3 – Today’s event, Halloween in July, had to be postponed due to weather. Instead of cancelling it, the guards felt strongly about moving it out and so it will take place on Wednesday, August 6th from 2pm to 4pm. Update your calendar!
Synchro Preliminary results are in!
July 29 – The synchro girls teams all performed well in the prelims held last Sunday.The senior duet and solo performances finished in 1st place, the senior team came in 2nd and the junior solo performance came in 3rd place. Congrats to the junior team and duet performances that came in 8th and 6th respectively. Great show!
Adult Party Luau
July 29 – Get your hula on at our Luau! Saturday, August 2 at 7 pm. Tickets are available at the canteen. They’re 10$ each and include dinner and two drinks (beer/wine). BYOB beyond that and a dessert to share! Tropical attire is encouraged.
REMINDER: ECC Participation Medals for 2014 – Get your form now!
July 25 – Once again this summer, our kids will be able to receive a participation medal for partaking in one of our team activities (guppies, leaders, synchro, diving, waterpolo, and swim team). Don’t miss out, get your ECC Participation Medals Form 2014 and submit it to the guards before August 1st. After that date, it’ll be too late! Don’t delay!

Opening BBQ moved to June 24th
June 22 – The opening BBQ scheduled for yesterday is re-scheduled for June 24 due to ongoing renovations at the pool. The BBQ will be ready at noon and we’re serving up hamburgers, hot dogs, and peperettes. Bring your own side-dish. The canteen will also be open if there are enough volunteers. We’re also looking for additional BBQ volunteers.Do you have 20-30 minutes to spend behind the grill or behind the counter? The more volunteers the less work for everyone! Come one, come all and let’s celebrate summer! We still have a few things to complete around the pool so your help is welcome if you plan on coming around 11am. They are now calling for rain, but we are hopeful that it will not happen! See you all there!
Rain, rain, go away…
June 13 – Pre-season is less than 24 hours away and rain is in the forecast. We have been busy in the off season and you will see some new things around the pool! We have new staff members and some great activities coming up. Its going to be a rocking summer! As always, we will be looking for volunteers this summer so if you are interested, please let us know by emailing us or talk to one of the committee members.

May 6 – Registration Day 2014 was held on May 4th. On the horizon now is yet another fantastic summer (if Mother Nature wants to cooperate that is). Pre-season will start on Saturday, June 14th at noon. Mark your calendars! If you havent registered yet, it not too late, you can still download your 2014 Registration Form now and mail it to the address located at the bottom of the form along with your cheque!
